The performance testing of fiber optic patch cord is divided into:
1. Optical performance testing, including return loss/insertion loss testing.
2. The geometric shape of the end face is measured. The parameters include curvature radius, vertex offset, fiber height, etc. .
3. The scratches on the end face of optical fiber were detected by video fiber magnifying glass.
4. Fiber tension test,testing the tensile strength of the fiber optic connector.
5. Environmental temperature experiment.
