OPPC (Optical Phase Conductor) is the full name of optical fiber composite phase line. It is a new type of special power optical cable. It is an optical cable that combines optical fiber units in the phase line. It has the dual functions of phase line and communication. It is mainly used for voltage levels below 110kV, suburban distribution networks, and rural power grids. In medium and low voltage power grids, especially distribution lines below 35 kV, some do not need to be equipped with ground wires, so it is impossible to install OPGW. Among all power grids, only the phase line is indispensable. In order to meet the requirements of power monitoring or optical fiber networking, OPPC is relatively close to OPGW technology. In the traditional phase line structure, adding optical fiber units in a suitable way will become an optical fiber composite phase line.
Structural characteristics:
1. The design of twisting the stainless steel tube optical fiber unit with other metal wires at the same time;
2. The optical fiber is placed in the stainless steel tube to obtain a better excess length;
3. The precisely designed optical cable section ensures the electrical performance, mechanical and physical properties and thermal stability of the optical cable;
Application characteristics:
1. A certain number of optical fibers are placed in the oil-filled stainless steel tube unit manufactured by laser welding technology
2. The optical fiber is placed in the loose tube stainless steel tube to obtain a good excess length, especially the layer-twisted structure. In addition to the excess length of the optical unit itself, a larger excess length of the twisted structure can be obtained.
3. The aluminum-clad steel wire mainly provides the tensile strength of the optical cable.
4. The main function of the hard aluminum wire is to provide the current carrying capacity of the line and provide a part of the mechanical strength.
5. According to different line conditions, the specifications and proportions of the aluminum-clad steel wire (AC) and the hard aluminum wire in the optical cable can be combined to obtain products that meet the requirements of different mechanical characteristics and electrical conditions.
6. OPPC is generally used in medium and low voltage transmission lines without ground wires, such as 10kV, 35kV, 66kV, 110KV and other transmission systems.
