Features

Tough Steel Tube Protects Network Connection Further

Stainless steel tube can provide good protection against optical fiber breakage and be used in a slight oil, gas and moisture environment, which ensure the operation of the network.

Superior Workmanship Guarantees Stable Transmission

MTP® connectors are the proven and trusted MPO style format offering state-of-the-art multi-fiber and mechanical performance.

G.657.A1 Guarantees High Performance

Excellent bending and compression resistance make it an ideal choice for high density cabling.

High Density Cabling for Various Environments

Minimize waste, optimize cable management, speed deployment, and improve flexibility and manageability for lower installation costs.

Meet the Various Indoor Installation Needs

Armored patch cables of OFNP material make them suitable for various applications of horizontal cabling.

Spine-Leaf Architecture Achieve Larger Network Scale

Prevent network bottlenecks, reduce network latency, and expanding bandwidth and scalability for future network expansion.

FAQ

Q1: What is an MTP®-12 armored jumper and what is the difference between MTP and MPO?

A: MTP® is US Conec's high-performance version of the MPO (multi-fiber push-on) connector family. An MTP®-12 jumper terminates 12 fibers in one compact connector pair. This armored version adds a built-in interlocking steel armor layer around the fibers, providing stronger crush, pull and rodent protection than standard fiber cables in hazardous installation areas.

Q2: What does "F to F" (female to female) mean and which gender should I order?

A: Female connectors have no guide pins; male connectors have guide pins. This jumper is female to female, the standard gender for trunk/backbone cables that mate with pinned male connectors on cassettes, modules or equipment ports. Always match gender: female connectors receive guide pins from the male end.

Q3: What is Type B polarity and how does it differ from Type A and Type C?

A: Type B (Method B) means the connector key orientation is flipped at one end (key up to key down), while fiber positions map 1-to-1 straight through — the standard choice for trunk cables between two patching points. Type A is key up to key up with fiber mapping reversed (1→12), and Type C flips fiber pairs at one end. Confirm polarity with your system design before ordering.

Q4: Why is APC polish used on this single-mode jumper?

A: APC uses an 8° angled end face which greatly reduces back reflection (typical return loss ≥60 dB). Low reflection is critical for OS2 single-mode links, high-speed parallel optics and PON/CATV systems. UPC (flat polish) is used for standard multimode or conventional single-mode links; the polish type must match your adapters and transceivers.

Q5: What does OFNP plenum rating mean and where can this cable be installed?

A: OFNP (Optical Fiber Cable, Plenum) is the highest indoor fire-performance rating per NEC Article 770 and UL 910 (Steiner tunnel test). It is approved for air-handling spaces such as above suspended ceilings and under raised floors, and is a compliant choice for risers, telecom rooms and general building cabling.

Q6: What are the optical specifications of this jumper?

A: Maximum insertion loss is ≤0.35 dB per mated pair (typical performance is lower), with typical APC return loss ≥60 dB. Every jumper is 100% factory tested and ships with a test record, complying with TIA/EIA-568.3 and IEC 61754-7.

Q7: Is this jumper RoHS compliant and what standards does it meet?

A: Yes, this cable is RoHS compliant. It also meets TIA/EIA-568.3 cabling standards, IEC 61754-7 MPO connector interface requirements and NEC Article 770 fire-performance ratings (OFNP plenum).

Q8: Why choose an armored MTP trunk cable for data centers and high-density networks?

A: One armored 12-fiber MTP trunk replaces multiple standard patch cords while protecting all fibers from crushing, pulling, abrasion and rodent damage in cable trays, underfloor pathways and retrofit routes. The steel armor removes the need for conduit, saving space and installed cost, and keeps high-density links reliable in dusty, oily or humid environments.

Q9: Can I get custom lengths, polarity, gender or OEM/ODM options?

A: Yes. We support custom lengths (e.g. 0.5m–100m), jacket color, logo printing, label and packaging design, as well as alternative configurations such as male/female, Type A/B/C polarity and MTP-to-LC breakout tails. Please share your specification for a tailored quotation.

Q10: What are the MOQ, packaging, lead time and testing?

A: MOQ is flexible and typically 100 pcs; each jumper is individually bagged and shipped in export cartons. Stock items ship within 3–7 days; customized orders typically 15–20 days after confirmation. All products are 100% tested before shipment. Contact us for bulk pricing and warranty terms.
