FAQ

  1. What fiber type is used in this 24-fiber breakout cable?

  2. This cable uses 9/125μm single-mode OS2 fiber (ITU-T G.652D) with low attenuation for reliable long-distance transmission. Bend-insensitive G.657A2 fiber is available on request for tighter routing.

2. How many fibers does the cable contain and what is the breakout structure?

It contains 24 fibers. Each fiber is individually 900μm tight-buffered and protected by its own strength member (2.0mm or 3.0mm sub-unit) inside the outer jacket, allowing individual fibers to be separated and routed to different termination points without exposing bare fiber.

3. Which connector options are available?

SC/UPC is standard and complies with EIA/TIA 604-2. LC/UPC, MPO/MTP, and SC/APC or LC/APC versions are available to meet different network requirements.

4. What are the typical insertion loss and return loss?

Insertion loss < 0.2 dB (typical 0.1dB); return loss> 50 dB for UPC and> 60 dB for APC, tested per IEC 61300 series.

5. What is the jacket material and flammability rating?

The standard jacket is LSZH (Low Smoke Zero Halogen), compliant with IEC 60332-1 flammability requirements. PVC and OFNR/OFNP options are available per project specification.

6. What is the operating temperature range?

-20°C to +70°C for continuous operation (storage: -40°C to +80°C), suitable for indoor equipment rooms and data center environments.

7. What is the minimum bend radius?

20× cable outer diameter during installation (dynamic) and 10× OD for long-term static use, minimizing signal loss in tight spaces.

8. What is the outer cable diameter and weight?

Approx. 12.0mm outer jacket for the 24-fiber version, weight approx. 90kg/km. Exact values can be confirmed on the spec sheet for your required length and connector combination.

9. Is it compatible with standard patch panels and fiber distribution frames?

Yes — the cable is factory pre-terminated with standard connectors, providing plug-and-play interconnection with patch panels, ODF, and fiber distribution frames without field splicing.

10. What is the difference between a breakout cable and a distribution cable?

A breakout cable gives each fiber an individual buffered sub-unit that can be separated and routed independently, offering stronger per-fiber mechanical protection for equipment-to-patch-panel links. Distribution cable uses a common buffer tube and is more compact for high-density trunk runs.

11. What is the MOQ?

MOQ is 100 pcs for pre-terminated assemblies (or 500m for bulk cable). Trial orders below MOQ can be discussed for first-time cooperation.

12. Do you support OEM/ODM customization?

Yes — custom length, connector type, jacket color, cable printing, and packaging are all available. We also accept OEM brand labeling.

13. What is the production lead time?

Standard items ship in 7-15 days. Customized orders take 15-25 days depending on quantity and configuration.

14. Can you provide samples before a bulk order?

Yes. Samples can be produced in 1-2 days, and the sample fee is refundable against your first bulk order.

15. What certifications do you have?

We are ISO 9001 certified, and our products comply with RoHS. UL and CE certificates are available upon request for target markets.

16. What are your payment terms?

We accept T/T, L/C, Western Union, and PayPal. For new customers, the standard term is a 30% deposit and 70% balance before shipment.

17. How is the cable packaged for export?

Each assembly is individually bagged with dust caps on connectors, then packed in export cartons or plywood drums according to length. Custom packaging and private-label cartons are available.

18. Is every batch tested before shipment?

Yes. We test 100% of assemblies for insertion loss, and each shipment includes an OTDR test report and factory test certificate for full traceability.

19. What is your warranty and after-sales policy?

We offer a 12-month warranty against manufacturing defects (extendable to 24 months by negotiation), plus 24-hour online technical support.

20. What are the main applications of this cable?

Indoor interconnection between transmission equipment and patch panels, data center structured cabling, FTTH building distribution, and telecom equipment rooms — ideal for carrier-grade fixed routes.
