Features

Extending Fiber Connection with Adapters

With high-precision components and a tool-less design, the adapters allow two devices to communicate over a distance via a direct connection to the fiber-optic line.

Application for Optical Fiber Connection

It is mostly applied for optical fiber communication system, optical fiber access networks, fiber optic data transmission, fiber optic CATV, LAN, test equipment, and commercial applications.

FAQ
Frequently asked questions about Pricing Plan
  • What is a fiber optic adapter and why is it needed?
A fiber optic adapter (also called a coupler) is a small device that precisely aligns and links two fiber optic connectors to join two fiber lines. It maximizes light transmission and minimizes signal loss, ensuring stable, low-loss connections in any fiber network.
  • What do "LC/UPC" and "Duplex" mean in this adapter?
LC is a small-form-factor connector standard with a 1.25mm ferrule; UPC (Ultra Physical Contact) is the polished end-face finish that minimizes back reflection. Duplex means the adapter houses two fibers (transmit + receive) in one body, making it ideal for bidirectional data links.
  • What is the difference between OS2 and OM3/OM4 adapters?
OS2 is single mode fiber (9/125μm), used for long-distance transmission in telecom and data center backbone links. OM3/OM4 are multimode (50/125μm) for short-reach, high-bandwidth applications. This adapter is OS2 single mode, color-coded blue for easy identification.
  • What does ≤0.2dB insertion loss mean?
It means the light power lost when passing through the adapter is no more than 0.2dB (typical 0.1dB). Low insertion loss preserves signal strength over long links and is critical for OS2 single mode transmission quality.
  •  What material is the adapter housing made of?
The housing is metal (zinc alloy, nickel-plated), offering high durability, heat resistance and stable performance in high-density or harsh environments. Plastic (PBT) housing versions are also available for cost-sensitive projects.
  • Is the alignment sleeve zirconia ceramic?
Yes. Every adapter uses a precision zirconia ceramic sleeve, which provides accurate fiber alignment, high wear resistance and a long service life — a key factor in maintaining low insertion loss over thousands of matings.
  • What is the operating temperature range?
-40℃ to +85℃, suitable for outdoor cabinets, telecom sites and demanding industrial environments.
  • How many mating cycles can this adapter withstand?
≥500 mating cycles with no performance degradation, verified by factory durability tests.
  • What is your terms of payment ?
Payment≤1000 USD, 100% in advance; payment>1000USD, 30% T/T in advance, balance before shipment.
  • Is it compatible with standard LC connectors from other brands?

Yes. It complies with IEC 61754-20 and TIA/EIA-604-10 standards, and is fully intermateable with standard LC/UPC connectors from mainstream brands such as Corning, FS, Panduit, and others.

  • Where is this adapter typically used?
Data center structured cabling, FTTH/FTTB networks, telecom ODF and patch panels, CATV headends, LAN and fiber testing equipment.
  • Do you offer both metal and plastic versions?

Yes. Metal housing is recommended for durability, high temperature and high-density applications; plastic housing is available for cost-effective large-scale projects. Please specify your requirement when ordering.
  • Do you provide hybrid adapters and other types?
Yes, our factory supplies the full range: LC-SC, LC-ST, SC-SC, SC-ST, simplex/duplex, flange-mount and panel-mount adapters, in metal or plastic housings, for single mode and multimode.
  • Can I get free samples before placing a bulk order?
Yes, samples are available for testing and qualification. Sample freight is negotiable and will be refunded or deducted on bulk orders.
  • What is your terms of delivery ?
EXW, FOB, CFR, CIF, DDU, DDP.
  • How about the warranty ?
There are 12 months for the warranty. While the warranty is not responsible for those broken by violence or updated with other brands.
  • What is the MOQ?
Standard items: MOQ 100 pcs. For OEM/ODM orders and mixed models, MOQ is flexible and can be discussed based on your project.
