The exceptional durability of armored cables can be used to protect fibers and improve the reliability of the network for a variety of applications.

FAQ

Q1. Why does this armored patch cable use LC to SC duplex connectors?

It connects devices with different port types in one cable — the LC/UPC duplex end mates with switches, transceivers and patch panels, while the SC/UPC duplex end connects to ODFs, optical distribution frames and legacy telecom equipment. This hybrid design saves one adapter connection, reducing insertion loss and inventory cost for integrators and distributors.

Q2. How does the metal armor protect the fiber?

The built-in stainless steel interlocking armor withstands crushing, abrasion, cutting and pulling in harsh environments, protecting fibers from physical damage that causes network outages. It eliminates the need for conduit, offering a smaller crush-resistant pathway for improved design flexibility and lower installed cost — a key advantage in industrial, warehouse and outdoor-adjacent cabling projects.

Q3. What is the difference between SC and LC connectors?

SC is a push-pull, 2.5 mm ferrule connector widely used in telecom and FTTH networks; LC is a smaller 1.25 mm ferrule connector standard in data centers and enterprise equipment. Both are available in UPC and APC versions. This cable uses UPC polish on both ends for return loss ≥ 50 dB, compatible with most standard equipment.

Q4. Why LSZH jacket for this armored patch cable?

The LSZH (Low Smoke Zero Halogen) jacket emits minimal smoke and no toxic halogen when burned, complying with IEC 60332-1 and IEC 60754. Combined with the armor layer, it is suitable for data centers, telecom rooms, tunnels, ships and public buildings where both fire safety and mechanical protection are required.

Q5. What are the typical loss values of this cable?

Insertion loss is ≤ 0.2 dB and return loss is ≥ 50 dB per connector, meeting Telcordia GR-326 and IEC 61753-1 requirements. Every cable is 100% tested before shipment and individual test reports are available for wholesale and project orders.

Q6. What is the minimum bend radius? Manufactured with G.657.A2 bend-insensitive fiber, the minimum bend radius is 7.5 mm, much tighter than the 30 mm of standard G.652.D fiber. This makes installation in cabinets, trays and corner paths easier while keeping stable transmission performance.

Q7. Do you offer custom lengths for this LC to SC cable?

Yes. Custom lengths from 0.5 m to 100 m are available with ±0.1 m tolerance, no extra tooling cost for standard custom lengths. Common lengths for B2B projects are 1 m, 2 m, 3 m, 5 m and 10 m — please specify when ordering.

Q8. What are the MOQ and lead time for bulk orders?

MOQ is 100 pcs for stock lengths and 200 pcs for custom or OEM orders. Stock items ship in 3–5 working days; custom lengths take 7–10 working days; OEM orders (logo, label, packaging) take 12–15 working days after sample approval. Express shipping (DHL/FedEx/UPS) is available for urgent projects.

Q9. Do you support OEM/ODM and sample testing?

Yes. We provide free samples (1–2 pcs, courier cost on buyer's side) for qualified buyers, and full OEM/ODM service including custom jacket color, logo printing, private-label packaging and custom length/connector combinations. Your brand, our factory quality — ideal for distributors building their own product lines.

Q10. What certifications and warranty do you provide?

We hold ISO 9001 certification; products comply with RoHS, CE and Telcordia GR-326 standards. A 3-year warranty against manufacturing defects is provided, with free replacement or refund after verification. Test reports and certificates are included with every shipment for project bidding and procurement audits.
